Description: |
Use this article to create and save Real°Pac master document templates.
|
|
How-To: |
- Create a new document or open an existing document in Microsoft Word, or Corel WordPerfect.
- Save your document in the RP_W/DOCS/nnnnn directory or folder, where "nnnnn" is your own, unique Site Id. This folder is generally found in the R drive or the drive where Real°Pac is installed.
- Also, be sure to save your document as an RTF (Rich Text Format) file. Once in the Save As dialog, choose RTF as the type of file, instead of the typical DOC extension.
(Please refer to your word processor reference material, if you need more information).
- Open the Real°Pac, Doc°Finder module. If you are in Word, the Real°Pac button bar and the Real°Pac Menu give you easy access to the Doc°Finder module.
- Once the Doc°Finder window is opened , be sure the focus is on the $$$ selection. Most of your document templates will be stored here; however, if you are creating a document for a specific lender, choose that lender, instead. Then, choose the Utilities button or ALT+U.
- Choose the Create New Document Definition selection.
- Enter the New Document Title and choose the Phase (A for Preclosing, B for Closing, C for Post Closing), and choose the Select button.
- Choose the Use Existing Document selection. This is where you will specify the document you just saved as an RTF.
- Enter the document path information or choose the Find button to navigate to the document path. Choose the OK button.
- The new template document is added to the end of your document list. Choose the Sort Document List option.
- You now need to define the number of versions and the conditions under which the document will print. Find and highlight the newly created document on your list. Choose the Define button.
- Verify and or change the number of versions, as needed. Be sure to specify the correct path and version name.
- Highlight the version and choose the Criteria button. Now select under which conditions the document should print. Once completed, choose the Update button.
